The Visitors

Humans and the Visitors are indistinguishable from one another. We look alike. Breathe and eat alike. Even our mating rituals are similar.

Commander Pol wants the Visitors gone—voluntarily or otherwise. He insists we cannot coexist. Not peacefully, anyway. He believes Mars rightfully belongs to humans.

The Visitors terrify him. The superior physical and mental attributes play a factor, but I think his fear stems mostly from raw xenophobia. Pol refuses to believe that the Visitors arrived here long before humans.

As his Lieutenant, Pol entrusts me with keeping the Visitor population under a close eye. If only he knew.
