Gravel shuffles under my feet. My stride quickens, but am I moving in the wrong direction? A car passes. I don’t know the driver.
Now I’m walking in grass. I like the swish sound it makes as I move. Soft, smooth. Another car is coming.
I don’t know this driver, either.
I’m lost. I wandered from my people, and now I have no idea where I am. Or where home is.
I turn a corner. A familiar smell greets my nose.
My street! My people are outside looking for me. I run and jump and lick everyone and wag and jump some more.
I am home.
Awesome! Keep up the good work.
