They watched Cole. He hated audiences, despised being the center of attention. But there he sat, an exhibition for others to behold. Their eyes fixed on him. It made his skin squirm, like cockroaches skittering across his body.
Humans and the Visitors are indistinguishable from one another. We look alike. Breathe and eat alike. Even our mating rituals are similar.
I lie motionless as dirt is poured over me. The sun gives way to blackness. Earth fills the space around me.
